These data confirm a long-held, unproven hypothesis that mammalian cells are capable of synthesizing RNA by copying RNA molecules directly.

- Amgen's second quarter 2010 adjusted earnings per share increased 7 percent to $1.38 Amgen reported adjusted EPS of $1.38 for the second quarter of 2010, an increase of 7 percent compared to $1.29 for the second quarter of 2009. Adjusted net income increased 1 percent to $1,326 million for the second quarter of 2010 versus $1,311 million for the second quarter of 2009.
