Life Science Toons & Teasers
AAPI History Month Panel 2 of 4
LifeScienceHistory.com: Where history is made daily -– now delayed by COVID-19 is coming, and we apologize
for the long delay. The new site will bring you the history making news of the past and present, along with up-to-date
content, and much more. A new feature relates to the lighter side of life science that we call "Toons & Teasers" where
we include select cartoons, posters and other images from yesterday and today related to the FDA, hazardous products,
health crisis and other issues.
A special feature is our own weekly original cartoon. Conceived by Phil Ness, the illustrator is Mark
Reeve, an award-winning political cartoonist on The Mail On Sunday for three and a half years, and who has done work for The Economist,
GQ, D.C. Comics, book covers, storyboards, film visuals, animation, and much more. The illustration style is that of the
classic Thomas Nast (1860–1902) called
"The Prince of Caricaturists" in 1873, Nast is today considered the "Father of the American Cartoon."
We currently publish one original illustration monthly that mirror national and global life science events and issues.
Each illustration is done in the Reeve/Nast style and released weekly as a four piece puzzle. The initial illustrations
chronicle the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our newest cartoon celebrates "Asian American & Pacific Islander History Month."
We hope you enjoy our creations.
