Summary

Seagen is looking to fill the role of Senior Manager, Patient Access Operations. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of Seagen's patient assistance services and the field-based reimbursement services vendor, together Seagen Secure and Access & Reimbursement Team. The Senior Manager will play a key role in the execution of successful patient programs by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize program operations and day-to-day communication sharing between functional teams. With a growing portfolio and evolving competitive, regulatory, and compliance landscape, this role will be central to the execution of patient access and support programs. In addition to being an important member of the Global Value Access team, key collaborating partners will be Seagen Secure patient services vendor(s), operations, field teams, legal, and compliance. The position requires a highly motivated individual that can work cross-functionally to accomplish agreed upon objectives.

The Senior Manager Patient Access Operations is a member of the Global Value Access Team and reports to the Associate Director, Patient Access Operations.

Principal Responsibilities:

By executing the following duties, the Senior Manager, Patient Access Operations will support best in class programs and services to help health care providers and patients access medically necessary treatments:

  • Provide day-to-day management of Seagen Secure patient support programs and services operational needs, including all data needs, program literature, field inquiries, and internal reporting
  • Responsible for day-to-day relationship management and point of contact with Seagen's vendor for field-facing access and reimbursement personnel
  • Ensure program and teams are operating in accordance with Seagen provided guidance
  • Build and manage team and program training curriculum
  • Lead patient access data insights generation and sharing, metrics monitoring, and generally act as initial point of contact for patient access related questions from assigned franchise sales & marketing teams
  • Lead creation, review, and implementation of core SeaGen Secure program literature and program tools, including managing associated vendor
  • Ensure program approved resources are operationalized in line with guidance and inventory is aligned across all users
  • Provide insight into operational effectiveness of SeaGen Secure programs to aid in maintaining an optimal patient access experience
  • Regularly analyze program performance reports and metrics, identify, and implement process efficiencies as needed
  • Support annual review of program operating procedures, and assist with implementation of updated procedures, when necessary
  • Support department business reviews and planning with program vendor(s) as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry/relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of patient assistance programs and patient support needs under various coverage situations
  • Understanding of medical vs. pharmacy benefit design
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH or other relevant degree preferred
  • Experience working with infused and oral oncology patient support programs is preferred
  • Experience independently leading project initiatives, with comfort presenting project deliverables to groups comprised of functional partners and team leaders is preferred
  • Experience with specialty product launches is preferred
  • The preferred candidate will be local to the Bothell, WA area or willing to relocate
