Research Associate III - Bioanalytical Testing & Assay Development

Translational Sciences - Bothell, Washington

Description

Summary

The Translational Sciences department is seeking a highly motivated research associate to assist with preclinical sample testing and bioanalytical assay development. This work will support the advancement of multiple antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and immuno-oncology biotherapeutics from late-stage research into clinical development. The successful candidate will have experience in standard and exploratory bioanalytical techniques that can be used to characterize the pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, biodistribution, and/or stability of antibody-based drugs.

Responsibilities:

  • Bioanalytical sample analysis of key pharmacokinetic (PK), toxicokinetic (TK), and exploratory studies using ligand binding assays (Gyros, ELISA, MSD)
  • Troubleshoot and transfers assays between various platforms
  • Assist in the design, development, and optimization of novel bioanalytical methods used to measure and characterize therapeutic drugs or novel drug-linker platforms in various biological matrices
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of these methods to characterize therapeutic drugs in in vitro and in vivo studies and models
  • Effectively communicate study updates and timelines to the team
  • Organize and maintain sample and critical reagent inventory
  • Analyze, summarize, and peer review study data. Present data in group meetings and contribute to discussions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences or related discipline with a minimum 4 year (+BS) of relevant research/industry experience
  • Experience with bioanalytical principles and techniques
  • Experience with standard immunoassays. Hands on experience with the Gyros Protein Technologies platform is a plus
  • Experience and/or background knowledge of PK bioanalysis and QC review is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment and communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking skills,
  • Computer, and analytical programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GraphPad prism, SoftMax Pro)
