Summary
The Senior Information Security Manager is a member of the Information Security team. The Sr Information Security Risk Manager is responsible for leading, developing and is accountable for the documentation, awareness, control testing, metrics, reporting and ongoing improvements for Seagen Information Security program. The role will participate as an effective member of a passionate, highly skilled, collaborative team that supports Seagen Information Security policies and meets all relevant compliance requirements.
Principal Responsibilities:
Some responsibilities of this role include
- Perform all responsibilities in accordance with Seagen Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements
- Advance the cyber risk program by incorporating Information Security architecture, data risk, controls, threats, vulnerabilities, etc.
- Contribute to strategic plan for the department with an emphasis on identifying and reporting gaps in confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems
- Oversee guiding documentation for the cyber risk program<
- Create written procedures for advanced topics and contributes to other areas development of written procedures
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key IT and business partners
- Lead the development and execution of plans to drive a security culture through ongoing communication, training and engagement
- Serve as lead and mentor to others on the Information Security team and ensure the successful coordination and implementations of projects
- Manage change management initiatives and mentor staff through change
- Remain informed about the events, trends and developments which affect your role, business area(s) and the industry
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work or education-related experience required
- One of the following certifications, or equivalent certifications, preferred: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CISA, PMP, CRISC
- Minimum 7 years of Information Security experience or related experience in IT, Business or Audit required
- Strong negotiation and people skills required
- Ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner
- Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy required
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills) required
- Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response
- Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate in the English language
- Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary
