Summary
Seagen, Inc. wishes to enhance their ability to conduct broader, deeper, and more sophisticated customer analytics for our commercialized brands across the portfolio. This position will enhance our analytics capability by aiding in the delivery of more coordinated datasets, development of more sophisticated analytics (including Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning engines), dashboards, and key performance indicator (KPI) oriented processes that will help us make better informed decisions. This position would also support our channel optimization efforts, which will better enable us to make informed decisions on what brand tactics we should invest in, continue, or discontinue through streamlined data and disciplined business processes.
This position requires that we centralize more data into our Seagen Data Warehouse (including 3rd party Agency data), while transforming and managing the data such that we can deliver more advanced analytics across multiple disparate data sources. In addition, we need to deliver the data across multiple platforms such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other technology. Lastly, there is a change management component required in that the organization is currently not accustomed to viewing the customer analytics with this level of detail and rigor in a centralized manner. This role will consult with management as required to facilitate both the technical and people change management.
In summary, the primary objective of this position is to be the functional lead for, as well as manage and consult with an internal and external team to advance our customer analytics capability and support the development of a long-term channel optimization program that spans across the Seagen commercial portfolio. This program will establish customer data models/analytics, business processes, advancement in our AI/ML capability, and provide measurement capabilities that will guide brand and field-level decisions.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Define the data infrastructure, measurement tools, and reporting capabilities that will be required to advance our cross-channel analytics capability
- Identify key data sources and develop data ingestion processes in partnership with the data management team
- Work with outside consultant teams to aid in the development of predictive data models and lasting business processes related to AI/ML, customer analytics, and channel optimization
- Ensure data and analysis are reliable and rigorous across all business areas
- Continually evaluate and refine analytical approaches, processes, and operations to ensure the team is providing the highest level of impact
- Develop KPIs that aid in investment decisions, optimize channel spends, sales execution
- Monitor against KPI goals and assist the team in uncovering business optimization opportunities; and advise management on field-based next best actions
- Deliver reports and dashboards for internal consumption
- Influence and interact with key business leaders, including executives
- Work with agency partners as needed in collaboration with Seagen employees
- Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership on a regular basis
- Train internal team members on data models and analytical methods for long-term sustainability
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry is preferred
- Pharmaceutical sales experience is a plus
- 5+ years of advanced analytics experience in a data science capacity or in a consultant role related to advanced analytics
- 3+ years of marketing or commercial analytics related experience in a data rich environment
- 3+ years of experience leveraging business intelligence tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau)
- High level of proficiency with Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication / presentation skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Science, Computer Science, or Data Science preferred
- MBA Preferred
