Training Specialist

Commercial - Bothell, Washington

Description

Summary:

As an integral part of Commercial Training and Development Team, the Training Specialist will provide strategic operational support to the department. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving the quality of learning operations with impact to global programs and internal stakeholders. The Training Specialist will partner closely with the Training delivery teams to ensure we deliver tailored high quality training for a specialized set of Commercial functions. The role will also be responsible for alignment to our excellence framework across the portfolio by closely working with Commercial stakeholders and third party vendors.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage training communication templates related to national meeting workshops, launch readiness, new hire training, pulse learning and pilot training programs
  • Support department budget and spend tracking in collaboration with finance and legal teams
  • Manage the distribution channel for all physical training materials used in Commercial training programs to ensure attendees have the required materials aligned with the timing of the course(s)/meeting
  • Own and manage Training Department SharePoint file structure and communication/process templates for use across Portfolio and Commercial Learning and Development Programs
  • Document and maintain training excellence framework processes in partnership with the Commercial Training teams
  • Provide a physical presence in training environments to ensure proper flow and execution of training material. Also captures key elements of success to incorporate across the Seagen portfolio of products
  • Create, maintain and present training project status dashboard on monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • Report project status with stakeholders, resource utilization, and tracking against the sales and commercial training roadmap to ensure
  • Manage product-agnostic template content for accuracy, consistent language and structure
  • Maintain repository of all commercial training vendors, contracting, quality control, and communication/coordination efforts
  • Partner with the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to manage all digital training content used for facilitation and ensure it is maintained and available at any time to our Trainers
  • Continuously assesses department training operational needs, coordinate resources, develop and implement sustainable solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years relevant experience in biotechnology commercial functions; experience in sales training strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration, comfortable working in a team environment, and pivoting with rapidly changing business priorities
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Creative problem solver able to handle multiple projects and delegate as needed to support business priorities and timelines
  • Able to deliver solutions with a high degree of accuracy and process improvement mentality
  • Must be “hands-on” and ready to roll up their sleeves to deliver immediate results
  • Attention to detail; strong prioritization, communication, and organization skills
